GP ST Assessments

GP ST Stages 1-4 Course Description

Application to GP ST Training is very different from all other specialties. Doctors who apply obviously intend to become GPs of the future. The application process aims to filter out doctors who have the characteristics and the professional integrity to persue the career of a GP in the UK.

The GP ST Entrance Assessments take place in 4 stages. This course covers the entire process until the end of Stage 4 where offers and rejections are finalised.

As opposed of many other courses, this course puts a lot of focus on the 2 Performance Stages ie Stage 2 (Written Paper ) and the Stage 3 Assessments. We aim to cover extensively quite a few of the hot topics that frequently come up in the exam including questions in the Clinical and the SJT(Situational Judgement Test) paper.

The course covers The Stage 3 Assessments in as much detail as possible with workstations where candidates are closely involved. We cover consultation models and written prioritization tasks that play a crucial part in the Stage 3 Assessments. The course aims to make sure that a candidate does not need to do any further courses to succeed in the assessment process. Although the Stage 3 Course provides much greater depth in to Stage 3 Assessments, this 1 day course gives a general overall knowledge an insight into this stage which can certainly give you a much greater chance of success.

1 day intensive preparation for the overall assessment process
